This holiday season, the Mississippi Poultry Association (MPA) continues its annual tradition of giving by donating chicken and eggs to benefit Mississippians in need. Governor Tate Reeves has chosen The Mississippi Food Network and the Salvation Army as the recipients of this generous donation, which will provide crucial protein to families facing hunger during the holiday season.
“This donation is a testament to the compassion and generosity of Mississippi’s poultry industry,” said Mack Walker, MPA Chairman of the Board. “We’re proud to work alongside Governor Reeves to ensure this food reaches those who need it most.”
The partnership between The Mississippi Food Network and the Salvation Army will ensure the distribution of these nutritious products to communities across the state. The donation will provide meals to thousands of families, offering hope and relief in a challenging year.
“At the Mississippi Food Network, our mission is to fight hunger, and partnerships like this make all the difference,” said CEO Dr. Charles Beady. “We’re grateful for the continued support of the MPA and the opportunity to collaborate with The Salvation Army.”
“This gift is about more than just food—it’s about bringing comfort and nourishment to families in need,” added Major Timothy Delaney. “We’re honored to work alongside the Mississippi Food Network to make this possible.”
The Mississippi Poultry Association has been facilitating this donation since 2011, reflecting the industry’s deep commitment to supporting local communities. Together, The Mississippi Food Network and the Salvation Army thank MPA, Governor Reeves, and the hardworking individuals across Mississippi’s poultry industry for their dedication to helping others.
Join the Mississippi Poultry Association, Mississippi Food Network, and The Salvation Army on Thursday, December 12th at 10 AM. Please note that Governor Reeves will not be in attendance.
